Nice write up and you have summarized many points.

From the time that you have started using Debezium to now there are many changes (Especially now it is taken up by Redhat).

I am now using DBZ & Kafka connectors to transfer the data from PostgresSQL for the past 6 months. We will be moving to the PRD soon.

It would be great if you can list the problems that you have faced while you used DBZ.

May be we can fix DBZ to support them or help others to write on their own a CDC WAL plugin.
